In this gorgeous Saturday night, peaceful, with the sky so clear that I can see Jupiter and Saturn without binoculars, waiting for the Great Conjunction to happen on December 21th, 2020, this thought came to my mind: I cannot believe for the life of me that there are still apologetics for Creationism and Religion fanatics in this world of ours.
It is just logical. Using a little bit of math, simple mathematics. Nothing extreme, no rocket science involved:

I love Carl Sagan scientific life. He was a scientist who, despite his passing on December 20, 1996 keeps on educating us with his intellectual abilities and philosophical analysis on life.
Books, articles, journals signed by several Nobel Prize winners, conferences about science, astrophysics, astronomy, philosophy and more.
Carl Sagan was a passionate advocate of scientific and critical thinking.
«The major religions on the Earth contradict each other left and right. You can’t all be correct. And what if all of you are wrong? It’s a possibility, you know. You must care about the truth, right? Well, the way to winnow through all the differing contentions is to be skeptical. I’m not any more skeptical about your religious beliefs than I am about every new scientific idea I hear about. Along the way I have questioned and answered some queries that have satisfied my curiosity. And still, I am willing to change my mind if they are refuted with intelligence.
For example, I am extremely offended by some of the things that are written in the Bible and the Qua’ran and other religious books or booklets.
But more offended I am by the people who defend those biblical assertions and permissions to commit horrible crimes against humanity. I condemn and reject those writings.
Because humanity doesn’t deserve to be confused and abused by the fairies, by organized religions that all they do is to cause harm and false sense of morality.
Think and express your thoughts, but if they are contradicted do not feel defensive. Everybody is allowed to express his/her opinion, even when it opposes ours.
INSTEAD: LEARN from that opinion. It will make you grow and think smarter.
Yes, because us, the free thinkers, question everything and worship nothing. Always, accumulation of ideas and thoughts. Wonderful world in my mind!

Thinking requires the utilization of the brain in a coherent manner, scientifically if possible, but everyone can do this, in philosophy, art, sports, gardening, carpentry, in every profession and activity we practice.
