I found this very interesting article. Worth reading.

Excerpt:

We all know the story of Galileo. Galileo is famous for trying to popularize Copernicus’s theory that the Earth revolves around the Sun and not the Sun around the Earth. The sinfully short version of his story is that since his Copernican model contradicted the bible, he was told by the Catholic Church not to speak of it. When Galileo could not keep this promise, he was held before the Inquisition in 1633, declared a heretic, and sentenced to spend the rest of his days in house arrest.

  1. «Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.» So said Albert Einstein, and his famous aphorism has been the source of endless debate between believers and non-believers wanting to claim the greatest scientist of the 20th century as their own.

  2. It is so interesting that 💯 years back Paramahansa Yogananda addressed the World Congress of Religious Liberals and his topic was: Science of Religion 😇

  4. All I can say is «Thank god I am an atheist.»

On another note, I am celebtating my first ever audax. 160k, or 100 miles on my bike. Yeah me.

    1. Me too my friend, I say the same thing: “Thank god I am an atheist.” …. Now about cycling…..
WHAAAAAAAAAT??!! 160 big km? SUPER CONGRATS, my friend! You rock! My best km has been 120 km. You rock the pedals 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️💪💪💪

      1. Thanks doc. I put a couple of vids about it on my YouTube account. Muppetalex1@gmail.com

But yes, super stoked. Sleapt for 12 hrs. Hot bath and pie and chips helped me out no end.
