GOING TO THE BEACH

Things have changed, that’s for sure. And they probably won’t be the same for quite a while. But life goes on and so do we. So we have to live it to the fullest within our own possibilities, and I don’t mean financially only, also physically, mentally and spiritually.

GOING TO A MUSEUM

You know, there are many people who are disable or partially disable and they, my goodness, have some courage and huge love for life that inspires me everyday! They have like an internal machine that never stops and keep them going on, loving, moving. So, that is what I was referring to when I mentioned «within our own possibilities», and our possibilities should be infinite!

Messy Fun Food of the Day: French Onion Soup Please Enjoy!

Make sure to make it messy…it tastes better!

INGREDIENTS

6 large yellow onions, sliced thinly
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups dry white wine
2 quarts chicken stock
5 ounces Gruyere cheese, grated (a Cheddar would work, too)
4 slices of hole-y, country bread

COOKING METHOD

In a large, wide-bottomed pot, combine the onions, cream, butter, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium to medium-high heat until the onions soften and the cream reduces to its solids.

This should take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on your onions and your pot. Then turn the heat up slightly, so the onions and cream bubble at a slow boil, and cook without stirring for about six or seven minutes, until the onions on the bottom are deeply brown. (Depending on your stove, this might mean at medium heat or at high. Don’t go overboard: you don’t want the onions blackened.) Stir the onions and add a half-cup of wine and deglaze the pan, scraping up all the burnt and browned bits. Then repeat the process: leave the onions without stirring for another six minutes or so, then deglaze. Repeat until you have used all 2 cups of wine. The onions should now be a rich, dark brown color; they should smell divine.

Add the stock. (Use less if you want more of a stew.) Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes. Season with salt if needed.

Preheat the oven to 400. Toast the bread until it is dry and crusty, about 15 minutes. Ladle the soup into either ovenproof bowls or a single large baking dish (if the latter, place it on a baking sheet: it will spill). Fill the bowls or dish to nearly the rim. Float the bread on the soup and sprinkle with the Gruyere. Bake until the cheese is bubbly and browned, 20 to 30 minutes. Let cool until it will no longer burn your tongue. Devour!

Beautiful Messy Sunday Forget Perfectionism … It Sucks!

Breakfast in Messy Bed!

Perfectionists have a lot of baggage that other people don’t, and that baggage comes from constantly striving to appear perfect.» Basically, it’s not easy being perfect; it’s heavy and exhausting.

When we live a rigid life in order to attain out-of-reach goals, we miss out on the organic rhythms that our mind and bodies might be moving to in a life less focused on perfection. Striving to be great … or good or even just okay.

Messy but lots of Fun!

Rather than perfect allows one to find their groove and excel, even if that means excelling with a messy sink or undone hair. And when you get to that point, and can find the liberating joy of imperfection? I would say that’s pretty perfect.

Messy Beautiful Hair!

Furnham says that people focused on perfection tend to have low self-esteem, noting also the presence of «guilt and its fellow travelers, shame and self-recrimination.» Admittedly it’s not clear if low self esteem feeds perfectionism or if perfectionism feeds low self esteem, but when I think of the more confident people I know, they are the ones unashamed of imperfection.

I for one stopped being so rigid in my cycling schedule. I now dress the way I feel like, colorful if I want to, no planned routes. Yes, I am a Messy Cyclist, and I LOVE IT!

The cuisine in this exotic country is hearty, savory and always satisfying. While it doesn’t have the spice of Mexican or the grilled skewered meats of Argentinian food, it has a style all its own: like an easy chair or a meal from your grandmother’s kitchen.

Find Diversion and Transcendence!

Owning a ranch is a magnificent way for those wishing to relax, have fun enjoying multiple activities and if you desire luxury, a well planned-built ranch will offer a world-class vacation property for active adventures!

I adore to cast for trout or catfish (depending on location) on sparkling waters, bicycling a hill, hike a canyon to nearby waterfalls, mountain bike the back-country, then luxuriate myself in a tented spa. I love to immersed myself in the wilds, with nature all around.

Luxury camping in a white canvas safari tent is another of my favorite activities to enjoy with my family, no matter the month or season of the year.

Wonderful Idea to Make a Healthy Taco with Lettuce Fast and Easy!

This exotic dish is not native of Mexico, it was brought from either Japan or South China.

Hibiscus flowers also known as Jamaica arrived in Mexico in the colonial times and are now deeply integrated into the Mexican cuisine.

In these light tacos, the tart and bright flowers are mixed with roasted potatoes (regular or the sweet kind), your choice of shredded chicken or beef (you can add pieces of shrimp instead if you like) and sauteed vegetables before being wrapped in a lettuce leaf «tortilla.»

Ever Wonder if Singing a High Note Can Break Glass? – Science Fanatic

Have You Ever Wondered?

We’ve all seen those scenes in movies. You know, the scene where the opera singer belts out a note so loud and sustained that they literally shatter a glass. I’m wondering if that’s actually possible?

wonder dra martha castro noriega tijuana mexico california america

So apparently every object has a natural resonant frequency. That means there’s a pitch at which that object starts to vibrate (even skyscrapers have this natural resonance). The thing is… every single piece of glass has a different pitch at which it resonates.

wonder dra martha castro noriega tijuana mexico california america

So if you were able to shatter a glass by singing, you’d have to sing at the exact note that resonates for that specific piece of glass. Turns out, you can find that note by hitting the glass and listening for the clink sound.

wonder dra martha castro noriega tijuana mexico california america

Now, if you were able to sing that exact note for a really long time at a REALLY loud volume, you could theoretically shatter a glass. The vibration will eventually cause the glass to flex enough that it shatters.

In order to break a glass with nothing but a human voice, you have to look at a few important factors. First, to shatter glass, the frequency of waves should be around 550 Hertz. Therefore, the person in charge of shattering the glass has to make sure that their voice can attain a frequency in that range. More Here

wonder dra martha castro noriega tijuana mexico california america

So the answer is: it’s possible but it ain’t easy. Here’s a pretty cool YouTube video where they do manage to shatter a glass (with some technological help). Just make sure to turn the volume down on your headphones or speakers, trust me!

If you sing at a wine glass at its exact resonant frequency, you can break the glass without the help of a speaker! Learn the physics behind that. Watch Video Here

I had always assumed this was a myth but it’s cool to know that it’s actually possible. Do ya think you have the pipes to shatter a glass?

Celebrating the «Taco Day» in America with these Delicious Choices!

Tacos are the Mexican equivalent of a sandwich. Instead of bread, a hard or soft tortilla is wrapped or folded around a spicy filling.

BREADED FISH WITH LOTS OF VEGGIES ON TOP… YUMMY!

It is not known exactly when they originated, but they themselves have been around for a long time.

This is what I know: they were first referenced by that name at the end of the 19th century, but the conquistador Cortez mentioned a meal prepared with tortillas as far back as 1520! Those would have been the soft wheat or corn tortillas.

However, historian, Jeffrey M. Pilcher, professor of history at the University of Minnesota, has traveled around the world researching Mexican food. He has a few ideas about the history of tacos, and you may be surprised to read his conclusions:

It is believed that the origin of the taco started in Mexican silver mines. Mr. Pilcher believes that they came about some time in the 19th century.

This hypothesis about the taco comes from the fact that the first type was the “taco de minero”

It is believed that the word originally referred to pieces of paper that miners would wrap around gunpowder and use in holes that were carved into the face of the rock.
