Is ‘Blonde’ Sexist?

Some people think it is sexist to use blonde to refer to women, but the AP stylebook currently says to maintain the distinction between the two gendered forms of the word if you use it, and The Chicago Manual of Style also seems to uphold the difference. It doesn’t say so explicitly, but it uses the E-form for women in some example sentences.

Delicious Salmon and Creamy Feta Cucumbers Recipe #390

DELICIOUS SALMON RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

1 tbsp. olive oil
2 lemons
4 5 oz. skinless salmon fillets
Kosher salt and pepper
1 lb. seedless cucumbers, sliced on a bias
3 oz. feta cheese
1/4 c. plain Greek yogurt
1/4 c. small mint leaves, roughly chopped

DIRECTIONS

Heat oil in a large skillet on medium. Halve 1 lemon and place halves, cut sides down, in the skillet.

Season salmon with ½ tsp each salt and pepper and cook until golden brown and opaque throughout, 3 to 6 minutes per side. Transfer salmon fillets to plates. Transfer lemon halves to a cutting board and cut each in half.

Meanwhile, in a large bowl, toss cucumbers with 1/4 tsp salt. Finely grate zest of remaining lemon into a food processor and squeeze in 3 Tbsp juice.

Add feta and yogurt and puree until smooth.
Toss with cucumbers to coat, then fold in mint and freshly cracked pepper. Serve with salmon and a charred lemon wedge for squeezing.

Remembering Happy Travel to South Korea Biz in 2018

REMEMBERING AN AWESOME TRAVELING TIME!

I love to travel a lot and I am a well versed traveler but this is my first time in South Korea for business and fun. And since the Winter Olympics are happening in this country our family decided for us to stay three days at the Conrad Hotel in Seoul and then go to Pyongyang for the finals. So, so long Seoul, hello Pyeongchang!

NOTE:

It was very hard to track down accommodations close to these mountain events but we did it with anticipation though, we learned our lesson in Sochi 2014 where we stayed on a cruise ship near the coastal cluster and had to commute every day to watch my events. The way the security was set up most of the mountain based accommodations would have been difficult to get to without a car. We planned better this time.
