“Don’t you believe in anything?” Isaac Asimov said, «I believe in evidence. I believe in observation, measurement, and reasoning, confirmed by independent observers».
«Organized» religion, «des-organized» religion: sects and cults, have been created by humans throughout millennia. As humans evolved from small hunter-gatherer tribes into large agrarian cultures, our ancestors needed to encourage cooperation and tolerance among relative strangers. Religion then—along with the belief in a moralizing God—was a cultural adaptation to these challenges.

Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs.
“Being holistic doesn’t mean mumbling mystical mumbo-jumbo all the time, it means seeing the reality as it is, without giving in to either supernatural nonsense or intellectual arrogance.” ― Abhijit Naskar
I don’t eat peanut butter. I find it repulsive and will go out of my way to not eat things with peanut butter.
People have often told me that I’m missing out. That food is so much better with peanut butter. “You’ve never had a Reese’s Cup? Or a PB&J? How can you be happy without having had peanut butter?”
The answer is, I’m plenty happy because it’s not important to me. It’s not something I require. I had my taste and quickly realized that I wasn’t missing out at all.
When someone asks “Can you be happy without believing in God?” what they’re really saying is “I don’t think I could be happy without believing in God.”
They’re projecting their feelings about religion onto others. They’re assuming their experiences are the only experiences.
We all do it to some extent, but it’s important to recognize that just because someone requires god to be happy, that doesn’t mean that others do. I’m actually happier not believing in a god? What if I asked the militant religious: how you could be happy while believing in God?
People might think that’s funny. That it seems obvious how believing in God makes them happier.
It’s the same for me. Of course I’m happy without believing in a god—and why couldn’t you be?
God is a PB&J and I don’t need either of them to be happy. Well, actually PB&J is real. I just don’t like it.

We usually have lots of «opportunities» in a day to be unkind to others and to ourselves. Why not allow ourselves to be kind to others and let others to be kind to us. We all deserve love, respect, kindness, we all do. In fact, we need kindness now, not tomorrow, now.
We might not change the world with a smile or helping someone to pick up something that fell off their hands, or feeding somebody who is hungry. But we change that person’s world, and ours.
Being kind makes this world better, even if nobody sees it, especially when it’s not posted on social media, when it’s kept private and done from the heart and true-self.

How To Help Your Mind
Though sometimes it may be hard to keep up your hopes and feel confident, but you must always believe in yourself and your talent. Faith, Belief , self-confidence are enough to turn around any negative situation in a positive one!
Eat well, say NO to drugs, get plenty of sleep and sunlight, avoid stress and conflicted stressful people, practice some activity and moderate exercise at least 3 times a week, everyday do something you really enjoy, connect with others (be sociable, in person or online), do things for others.
As a scientist I have always been inclined to ask questions, to have a profound curiosity about life and for everything that I don’t know. I want to explore everything that seems unreachable.
I wonder, oh I love to wonder about things: humans, nature, relations, the cosmos, life and death. Many times I don’t find any answer, and in the way I get punished by people who think they know it all: religious and atheists alike.
But I don’t care. I don’t care because for me the most important thing is to always try to find out what really matters.
I have learned that at the end of it all it is our belief what takes us to a better place, every second of our lives. I believe in goodness, I believe in loving forever. Because there is forever. I want to believe.
I believe in the continuation of 1: our consciousness and 2: the energy that the cellular machine called mitochondria creates every millisecond of our existence. My beliefs don’t follow any religion, but I believe in compassion and absolute respect for other people’s lives.
