Saturday Night For The Freethinker: Telling The Truth And NOTHING But The Truth!
Why do people lie so much? Hiding, convoluting, hurting each other, and then, lying again.
It’s annoying for me, the lying, the fantasies that people create, invent and imagine, for one reason or another.
I rather the harsh truth on my face than a «compassionate» lie behind my back. It’s much easier to tell the truth than a lie. It has less complications and makes you free.
Believing in God or not, being religious or not, that doesn’t make you a better or worse person. Look at this «wonderful» cyclist I used to admire, a lot: Lance Armstrong, an atheist who cheated his entire career to get ahead. He had the guts to say the following… «I hope I would be judged on whether I had lived a true life». Really?!
And, on the other side of the coin, we have this filthy theist Christian Florida pastor, finally in jail, thank goodness.

Saturday Night For The Freethinker: A Very Smart Child
Yes, a very smart child has reasons to choose science over religion. Choosing freedom from religion liberates the mind, and has the great potential of making the individual a very happy human being. Nothing is better than living a life free of fear of punishment and hell, free from the constant control of people who praise fairies, leaves a great space in our minds for knowledge and everyday evolution of our mental capacities and real-sincere compassion for humanity.

Humanism is a way of thinking about the world. In modern times, humanism is close to secularism. It refers to a non-theistic approach to life, looking to science instead of religious dogma in order to understand the world. The term was made widely known by scientists in the mid-20th century.
A true Humanist lives according to the Golden Rule of Humanism, which means trying to empathize with other people, including those who may be very different from us, thinking differently from us, having beliefs we don’t have, etc.

It is so much easier to use logic than being absurd. I have no idea how illogical people manage their «entangled» thoughts. It must be very confusing and painful for their minds.
When religious fanatics approach me to try to «accept» their god or religion, I just walk away. Do not talk to them. They have an illogical mind. They will never reason. My time is precious.
If we all used logic more often…
