Religion Is A Medieval Idea:
I just can’t comprehend how is it that there are so many religions, and so many people buying into them. Is it denial, pure ignorance, or both?

Saturday Night For The Freethinker: Imagine No Religion World Would Be A Better Place
When I thought I’ve seen it all!
FREEDOM FROM RELIGION
…It’s easy if you try…
Now our freethought of the day:
Saturday Night For The Freethinker: Telling The Truth And NOTHING But The Truth!
Why do people lie so much? Hiding, convoluting, hurting each other, and then, lying again.
It’s annoying for me, the lying, the fantasies that people create, invent and imagine, for one reason or another.
I rather the harsh truth on my face than a «compassionate» lie behind my back. It’s much easier to tell the truth than a lie. It has less complications and makes you free.
Believing in God or not, being religious or not, that doesn’t make you a better or worse person. Look at this «wonderful» cyclist I used to admire, a lot: Lance Armstrong, an atheist who cheated his entire career to get ahead. He had the guts to say the following… «I hope I would be judged on whether I had lived a true life». Really?!
And, on the other side of the coin, we have this filthy theist Christian Florida pastor, finally in jail, thank goodness.
William Milam, 62, pastor of Olivet Baptist Church
And now our FREETHOUGHT OF THE WEEK, and it’s about truth.
Saturday Night For The Freethinker: A Very Smart Child
Yes, a very smart child has reasons to choose science over religion. Choosing freedom from religion liberates the mind, and has the great potential of making the individual a very happy human being. Nothing is better than living a life free of fear of punishment and hell, free from the constant control of people who praise fairies, leaves a great space in our minds for knowledge and everyday evolution of our mental capacities and real-sincere compassion for humanity.
Saturday Night For The Freethinker: What About Humanism? Part 2
«Being a Humanist means trying to behave decently without expectation of rewards or punishment after you are dead.» — Kurt Vonnegut
Humanism is a way of thinking about the world. In modern times, humanism is close to secularism. It refers to a non-theistic approach to life, looking to science instead of religious dogma in order to understand the world. The term was made widely known by scientists in the mid-20th century.
A true Humanist lives according to the Golden Rule of Humanism, which means trying to empathize with other people, including those who may be very different from us, thinking differently from us, having beliefs we don’t have, etc.
«Humanists recognize that it is only when people feel free to think for themselves, using reason as their guide, that they are best capable of developing values that succeed in satisfying human needs and serving human interests:» Isaac Asimov
Now, my Freethinking quote of the week:
Saturday Night For The Freethinker: Logic Is Wisdom
It is so much easier to use logic than being absurd. I have no idea how illogical people manage their «entangled» thoughts. It must be very confusing and painful for their minds.
When religious fanatics approach me to try to «accept» their god or religion, I just walk away. Do not talk to them. They have an illogical mind. They will never reason. My time is precious.
If we all used logic more often…
And now our FREETHOUGHT OF THE WEEK!
Saturday Night For The Freethinker: The Truth Is Undeniable
«Trying to deny or hide the truth is a devolving humanity act» — Dra. Martha Castro N., DRAMAC
«I take my rights to freedom very seriously, and I exercise them «— Dra. Martha Castro N., DRAMAC
“There is one undeniable truth about our body: it only exists in the present moment. ― John Kuypers
And now our FREETHOUGHT OF THE WEEK!
Saturday Night For The Freethinker: The Mind Of A Free Thinker
“Life without liberty, is a life not lived, and life without truth, is a life not understood.” “There’s a difference between an open mind and an empty head.”
― Abhijit Naskar.
Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs.
“Being holistic doesn’t mean mumbling mystical mumbo-jumbo all the time, it means seeing the reality as it is, without giving in to either supernatural nonsense or intellectual arrogance.”
― Abhijit Naskar
