Would You Eat the 5 Most Exotic Foods in the World?

Absolutely yes to number 1, 2, 3 and 4. Definitely no to number 5. I am an exotic person, but I just realize I am not that exotic to eat saliva bird coming from  a bird nest.

5 of the Most Exotic Foods in the World:

KOBE BEEF

Kobe Beef comes from the best quality cows in the world. Cows fed high quality grass and beer, then they get daily massages to tenderize their meat. 1 kilo of this beef can cost $770 or more.

DENSUKE WATERMELON

Densuke Watermelon  is crisper on the inside. They are tender and very rare.  One watermelon can cost up to $6,100 dollars!

WHITE TRUFFLE

White truffles aren’t called kitchen diamonds for nothing. Their price can fetch from 2,000 to 8,000 euros per kilogram. And which country do they call the Land of Truffles? It’s Serbia alright! Serbia is the real-deal White Truffle Garden of Eden. Just one pound can cost between $1,360 and $4,200 Euros.

PULE

Priced at a staggering $600 per pound, this crumbly white cheese is not even available on the commercial market, with its high cost attributed to the considerable time and resources needed for production. While most cheeses are made using cow, goat or sheep milk, this cheese is made from the milk of a Balkan donkey, native only to Serbia and Montenegro, and requires 25 litres of milk to produce just one kilogram of Pule.

BIRDS NEST SOUP

Bird’s Nest Soup is possibly the weirdest and most expensive soup in the world and has been served in China as a delicacy for over 400 years. It is made up of the saliva nests built by birds called cave swifts and is then dissolved in water to create a gelatinous soup. It’s believed that the spit has many nutritional and medicinal uses as one pound of this spit can cost over $4,535.

Weekend Escapade To Cabo San Lucas

ESPERANZA AUBERGER RESORT

Traveling for the weekend for a relaxing time, to get out of the routine and calm the mind, there is nothing like an escapade to Los Cabos in Mexico.

LOS CABOS MEXICO, LA MARINA

Short vacation, but peaceful if you choose to. Remember that Cabos has many places for tourists who go there to party. I choose to stay away from those areas since I want silence, plenty of comfort and peace.

OUR PRIVATE POOL

This time we stayed at the Esperanza Auberge Resort, snorkeled and laid down on the warm ethereal beach.

Reasons Why I Fell In Love With Vienna

Vienna is a stunning city. There are so many things I love to do in Vienna that when I travel there I have to make time so I can stay for at least 3 weeks. It has so much to offer to everyone who visits: rich culture, delicious food, elegant architectonic buildings, art; it is the world capital of classic music. Vienna, known as the City of Music, has many musicians who call it their eternal home: Beethoven, Schubert, Strauss, Brahms, Mozart (actually Mozart was buried in an unmarked mass grave), which is the:

This is Where Hawaiian Chocolate Comes From

From this wonderful, tropical and exotic plant:

“Lower-quality cacao beans often get mixed in with premium varieties on their way to becoming chocolate bars, truffles, sauces and liqueurs.”

Did you know that Hawaii is the only place in the United States with a commercial cacao production?

“But the stakes for policing the chocolate industry are high. It’s a multi-billion dollar global enterprise, and in some places, it’s as much art as business. There’s also a conservation angle to knowing whether products are truly what confectioners claim them to be.”

Travel Germany Eating Delicious Messy German Food

TRAVEL TO GERMANY

It is time for me to get ready to travel to Berlin, Germany this year, to attend to one of my annual Global Medical Events, medical conferences and symposiums I faithfully go every year, to continue to learn, to explore science and grow as a physician for the benefit of my patients.

Laboratory Medicine and Pathology

Once the conference ends it is time for fun: going to the opera is a must, travel Germany, bicycling, eating the food. Just enchanting!

BERLIN STATE OPERA HOUSE – GERMANY

Germany is a beautiful seductive country, and one place I have to go whenever I visit is Bavaria. I am IN LOVE with Bavaria. I have family living there who are wonderful hosts to all of us who go.

AUTHENTIC PICHELSTEINER BAVARIAN STEW

The distance between Berlin and Bavaria is more or less 500 km, that will be about 5 to 6 hours driving an automobile. Leipzig is a place to stop to enjoy some food.  In Bavaria for example pork is very dominant but further in North Germany (Hamburg, Kiel) you should not miss out on the awesome fish dishes they have.

BRATWURST SLIDERS WITH BEER CHEESE AND BRAISED ONIONS

BAVARIAN SCHWEINSHAXE … MY FAVORITE!

I savor weissewurst, schweinhaxen, spaetzle, saurkraut, The weisswurst breakfast is just wonderful, pretzels and all.  For desserts, I relish the germknodel, where poppy seeds have their heyday.  Everything is out of this world!
