He said: «The rainbow came as a complete surprise. I guess I was just in precisely the right place at the right time as the whales came up for air.

«I love wildlife and I have traveled to many places around the world – but this was probably one of the most magical things I have seen.

«You are able to get very close to them and it seems they are just as curious about us as we are about them.»

Travel to Bay of the Day Ha Long

Ha Long Bay is situated in north Vietnam round a 120-kilometer-long coastline and is literally translated as “Bay of Descending Dragons”.

Traveling to this bay, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vietnam and features thousands of islands, is a fabulous dream come true!

Each island is topped with thick jungle vegetation, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Several of the islands are hollow, with enormous caves, others islands include lakes and some support floating villages of fishermen.
