Tropical Fruit Of The Week: Mango

mango exotic food dr martha castro noriega mexico

I have only 2 mango trees in my orchard. They give me enough fruit for me and my family. So much that we cannot finish it all. So what I do to preserve it and eat it until next year is the following:

I dehydrate them

Make delicious popsicles with my mangoes and yogurt——>Freeze them!

Make mango puree and freeze it for later use!

The rest of the mango not eaten or preserved, my chickens have a feast on it!

  1. Lucky. Our neighbour has a plumb tree, so plumb pie this year. We also had a good crop of blackberries, so crumble and ice cream. Fortunately cycling takes care of 2000 calories a go otherwise I would be in trouble.
